Program description:

As the CMSC winds down, the former staff that provided the Dreamer Study Abroad Program to Mexico has come together to create Coyote Azul Experiences. In fact our website is under construction, but we are still working on trips that connect you with your family. We are excited to introduce you to our latest program, Tercera Edad Tours. Many of our former participants loved visiting their elders in Mexico, and now you can coordinate a visit to the U.S. for your elder, loved one. This could be your tia, tio, abuelo, abuela, etc.

If you have a family member that is 65-years-old or older living in or near the Mexico City area, and you live in or near the Los Angeles, CA area, then here is your chance to organize a once in a lifetime trip for your abuelo, abuela, tio or tia, etc.

Dates of travel will be set for Springtime of 2026, and will be announced as the B1/B2 travel visa is approved. However for planning purposes, groups might leave as soon as April 1st, 2026 and the duration of their trip will be for 30 days from their departure date. Groups will depart together from Mexico City (MEX) airport, accompanied by our staff and arrive at Los Angeles (LAX) airport, and then groups will return together from Los Angeles (LAX) airport and arrive at Mexico City (MEX) airport, accompanied with staff members. 

Participant Requirements:

  • 65-years-old or older.
  • Must have no previous deportation or criminal history. 
  • You must have a valid passport from Mexico and it must be valid until at least September 2026. If you do not have a Mexican passport, you can still fill out the form, and you will need to make an appointment with the SRE office closest to you in Mexico to get your passport. 
  • The program is ONLY open to participants from Mexico City, Estado de Mexico, Puebla, Morelos, Tlaxcala, Hidalgo, Queretaro with families receiving them in the U.S. in the greater Los Angeles area. Your paperwork will be filed and processed at U.S. Embassy in Mexico City, therefore we are limiting the program to these states as all appointments are in person.

Program fee Cost: $2,500 

The program fee includes:

  • Payment for B1/B2 visa $185.
  • Preparation of the B1/B2 visa application process.
  • Legal consult and fees should birth certificates and documents in the Mexican registry of records need to be filed, or amended. 
  • Preparation meetings and trip planning support.
  • Staff will schedule and accompany participants to the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City for fingerprint and interview appointments.
  • Staff will accompany participants from Mexico City airport to Los Angeles airport. This means you can drop off the participant with our staff, and we will arrange to accompany them on the same flight, to make sure they and their luggage arrive at their families in Los Angeles.
  • Staff will accompany participants from Los Angeles airport, to Mexico City airport. This means you can drop off the participant with our staff, and we will arrange to accompany them on the same flight, to make sure they and their luggage arrive at their families in Mexico City.
  • One medical provider will accompany the group and provide medical attention during the travel beginning at Mexico City airport to Los Angeles airport. The same will be provided during the return travel from Los Angeles airport to Mexico City airport. Please note: participants will need to carry all medications they use with them in carry-on luggage and should medical attention be provided, it will be with the medications they have with them. During the duration of the participant’s stay in the U.S., the participants are able to access their medical and life insurance  coverage that they will pay for when purchasing their flight.
  • One medical consultation prior to departure via zoom.

Additional cost: 

  • Airfare and travel insurance you will need to purchase separately from Yanett Travel. Yanett Travel will be coordinating all group flights to ensure that we travel together and that everyone has medical & life insurance coverage while in the U.S. Once you have been accepted to the program, you will be instructed by program staff on how to purchase flights through Yanett Travel.
  • Any additional travel fees that the USCIS immigration office decides to add at the last minute or prior to your departure, you are responsible for paying at the airport upon arrival.

Fill out the following form to apply to the Tercera Edad Tours Program Spring 2026.  To qualify for the program, you must be 65-years-old or older and have no previous deportation or criminal history. You must have a valid Mexican passport that must be valid at least until September 30, 2026. If you do not have a Mexican passport, you can still fill out this form and  you will need to make an appointment with the SRE office nearest to you to get your passport.

Once we have reviewed your application, we will contact you to schedule an interview with you. Please take into consideration that the B1/B2 visa application processing time at the U.S. Embassy can take up to 6 months, thus, we will give preference to applicants who are quick to submit their completed online application and schedule an interview.

Disclaimer:  Program dates will be determined once each group has its B1/B2 visa approved.  We reserve the right to change dates of our group trips depending on updates we receive from the U.S. Embassy. All applicants will be notified via email if program dates change.
